At QN Europe, we believe that true success is measured not just by what we achieve, but by what we give back. That’s why we’re proud to announce our collaboration with Tafel Bensheim, a local volunteer-run initiative dedicated to distributing food and essential items to people in need.
Who We’re Supporting
Tafel Bensheim serves over 4,500 individuals, including refugees, single mothers, retirees, students, and families with limited incomes. The organization works closely with supermarkets, bakeries, and other local businesses to collect unsold goods and prepare them for distribution — ensuring that nothing goes to waste and that those in need receive vital support.

How It Works
More than 240 volunteers help make this operation run smoothly. Every week, food and everyday essentials are picked up from partner businesses, sorted, repackaged into individual bundles, and then distributed under strict hygienic and logistical protocols. Access for recipients is regulated via ID cards, with visits scheduled either weekly or monthly depending on individual need.
QN Europe Joins In
On May 8th and May 15th, two groups from the QN Europe team joined the Tafel Bensheim volunteers for a full day of action. From 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, we assisted in the preparation and distribution of food supplies — donning aprons and gloves, rolling up our sleeves, and getting to work.
Our tasks included:
- Sorting donations and removing expired goods
- Organizing items into accessible tables for distribution
- Handing out supplies to recipients from over 50 different countries

It was a humbling and powerful experience to meet people from all walks of life — each with a unique story, but all united by the need for a little extra help.
What’s Next?
Due to the overwhelmingly positive feedback from both our team and the Tafel Bensheim community, we’re planning to return later this year. Our next actions are scheduled for summer and again before winter, when the need tends to be even greater.
Why It Matters
In times of rising economic uncertainty, initiatives like Tafel Bensheim show the true strength of community. We’re proud to have been a small part of that effort — and even prouder to stand alongside the dedicated volunteers who make this happen week after week.
Stay tuned for updates on our next volunteer day — and if you’re inspired to give your time or resources, visit www.tafel-bensheim.de/mitarbeit to learn how you can help.
Together, we can make a real difference.
